Staying and working from home can be pretty unproductive (kids, games, food and Netflix!).
I use some of these tips to launch three new projects, while running my company and releasing weekly financial videos. So, trust me, they work!
Answer emails while standing by your kitchen table. Get your laptop and your coffee and go and stand by your kitchen table. Now while standing, start answering emails. Surprisingly this works 100% and the only downside is if you start munching. Seriously, try it out and let me know whether it works or not.
Start playing this album. Pick up a long (boring) task, put your headphones and press play. Don’t ask why, just do it. Thank me when you are done. This music puts you in the zone without being in the foreground.
Stop using your laptop charger. You will focus on finishing tasks before your battery runs out.
Call your mother/father/uncle/aunt. Tell them to call you back at the end of the day (or tomorrow) and ask you whether you were done with your tasks. High pressure accountability buddy!
Tag your things with goals. Anything that you use often (TV control, water bottle, refrigerator), gets tagged with a post it note that has your goals. Always in sight, always in mind!
